You never really know what someone else has experienced. Not unless they tell you. And they don't usually just 'offer that up' without being asked. And where do you get the right words to ask? What can you say to encourage someone enough to share things openly and freely. It's tough. Unless you're a mom, then it's very easy. You just ask. It's your right.
And that's what happened. One day, out of the blue, Cheryl's mom just asked. Not a bunch of words. Just a few short and meaningful ones. "Have You Had A Good Life?" For Cheryl, it became necessary to share some things that she might not have done so earlier.
That's what inspired this painting. Cheryl's parents were divorced. They remained friends, and both remarried. But they didn't get together and reminisce very often. And they lived in completely different worlds. One was very similar to her life now. Hamburgers and tea off the grill. The other was champagne in the morning, and lobster for dinner.
Cheryl didn't talk to her mother about the other world. She had her reasons. All of them good. But now was the time to share with her what it was like. And she shared them in this painting.
What you are purchasing is the original wonderful painting. You will receive a signed letter of authenticity, a copy of the video telling the story, and Cheryl's gratefulness for supporting her in pursuing her calling.
Together with her husband Stan, they create the paintings and create videos to tell the stories. They are also available to paint and create the video of YOUR story.
